Migrant-linked case index · UK · source-linked research

A portable, filterable index of documented cases in the working dataset, split by country, hotel/accommodation site, case group and procedural status.

Important scope note: this is not a national crime total. It combines documented resident/offender-linked cases with people-smuggling and immigration-facilitation cases, labels those groups separately, and excludes protestors from the resident/offender view. All case and statistics data is embedded in this HTML file.

Documented records by year

This chart shows the number of records in this dataset by event year after filtering. It is not an incidence rate and should not be read as a trend in crime prevalence.

Nationality / identity labels in the dataset

Labels are reproduced or summarised from the cited source; “not stated” and uncertain claims remain visible.

Aggregate statistics available

These are source-linked aggregate measures, mostly immigration-route statistics. They are not denominators for the documented case sample, so per-capita crime rates and causal correlations are not calculated.

How to use this index

Use Resident/offender-linked to view cases where the source identifies an asylum seeker, refugee, hotel resident or Home Office accommodation link. Use People-smuggling / facilitation and Irregular-entry / immigration offence to view immigration-related offending and allegations separately.

The country is assigned from the documented location, not nationality. “All” includes every location; “UK” includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland but excludes Ireland and international records. Multi-country records appear under “International”. A shared accommodation site does not imply anything about other residents.

In honour and remembrance

Their lives are remembered

Dedicated specifically to people harmed within the United Kingdom by the crimes documented here — those named publicly, those whose identities are protected, survivors, and the families who carry their memory. Incidents during overseas or Channel journeys are not included.

UK sites with reported victims in the current register

Counts below refer to distinct people explicitly reported as harmed or targeted, not charges or defendant records. Allegations and uncertain totals are labelled.

Every survivor and unnamed victim

All ages · United Kingdom

Many identities are rightly withheld by law, by courts, or by families. Their absence from a public list never diminishes what they endured.

This UK remembrance uses non-identifying summaries except where a name and personal details were already made public in authoritative sources. Counts are limited to what the working register explicitly supports and never speculate about a protected identity. Allegations and pending proceedings are not presented as convictions. Broad acknowledgements without case summaries appear at the end.
